2X4 Workbench - Multi Drawer

The design and structure of this workbench is based on the one below but was modified to incorporate lots of drawer space.  This is the design that I ultimately used to build my workbench during my "workshop recreation" effort.  The construction notes and photos for this workbench can be seen in my "Projects" page.

2X4 Workbench with Drawers and Cabinet

This is a reproduction of the workbench that I built for my workshop over 30 years ago.  It's a simple yet very sturdy design and still in use today.  Actual photos can be seen in the "Workshop" link above.

4 Drawer 2x4 Workbench

Here's another variation of a simple but sturdy workbench constructed using 2x4 lumber.  The drawers are framed in on either side of the workbench using 3/4" lumber.

Creekside Rolling Tool Cabinet

Here's a rolling tool cabinet with plenty of drawers and a lift top.

Drill Storage Storage Cabinet

Here's a wall cabinet designed for holding your drills and your favorite cordless drills. There are seven drawers and ample space to build in drill holders on the doors. The overall side is 8"d x 20"w x 24"h.

Folding Workbench

Here's my design for a sold and sturdy folding workbench for places where space is at a premium.  The work surface is 28" x 50".

Handyman's Workbench

Here's an easy straight forward workbench that I saw in the Plans Now web site.  At first glance it looks like it requires mortises but the legs are actually made from 2 halves.

Miter Saw Cabinet

I designed and made this cabinet in April of 2013 as part of my workshop "recreation".  I designed this cabinet from several ideas that I found on the web, taking what I thought were a mix of good functional design ideas. The cabinet has collapsible side wings as a space saving design.   The construction notes and photos for this cabinet can be seen in my "Projects" page.

Miter Saw Stand

Here’s a work station that I built for a miter saw that I recently purchased.  The bed and extensions can be removed in one piece from the base stand.  I kept the stand and wings light by using ¾” pine so that it would be light and movable.

Outfeed Table

I designed and made this table in March of 2013 as part of my workshop "recreation".  I designed the table to be multi-functional as an out feed for the table saw, storage space and an additional work and assembly table.  The construction notes and photos for this table can be seen in my "Projects" page.

Pegboard Tool Cabinet

I designed and made this Tool Cabinet in March of 2013. The basic design came from a Woodsmith magazine article but was altered to meet my specific needs and space.   The construction notes and photos for this cabinet can be seen in my "Projects" page.

Router Table Cabinet

I built this cabinet in May of 2014 to replace one that I had built several years ago that was not quite as nice and was a bit too high. The cabinet was designed and built to fit a Craftsman Router Table.

Shop Cabinet - For Ed

This is a shop cabinet that I built for a friend.  The construction notes for this cabinet can be found on the Projects page.

Shop Cabinet - For Greg

I designed and built this tool cabinet for my son Greg as he was beginning to put together his 1st home workshop.  The construction notes for this cabinet can be found on the Projects page.

Shop Cabinet - For the 21st Century

This is a modern version tool cabinet that was designed to hold both hand and power tools and supplies.  The original appeared in the April 2002 issue of Popular Woodworking.

Shop Cabinet - Stepped

This is the second tool cabinet that I designed and made for my son Greg.  It was an idea that I had that started with a base cabinet of drawers and then slowly evolved into a cabinet on a cabinet.  The construction notes for this cabinet can be found on the Projects page.

Shop Cabinet - Tall

I designed and built this cabinet for my workshop several years ago. The construction notes for this cabinet can be found on the Projects page.

Stonefield Tall Tool-Supply Cabinet

Here's a tall shop cabinet with plenty of storage space. The upper doors open to reveal additional drawers and open storage. The construction is frame and panel with mortise and tenon joinery.

Shop Cabinet - Small Cabinet for Drill Press

I designed and built this small cabinet for my drill press to sit on and to hold all my "drilling" related items.

Table Saw Push Block - Adjustable

Here's my version of an adjustable table saw fence-riding bush block. The width and height can be altered to fit any rip fence.  Sides should be kept just off the table surface.

Tool Box on Legs

Here's my version of an old time tool box on legs. The tool box is elevated for easy use and has a drawer. The handle and top are flat so that it can be used as a saw horse. W22", D9", H20".

Tool Chest - 6 Drawer Cabinetmaker

This Cabinetmakers tool chest was designed and built in October of 2013. I choose a frame and panel construction method for the sides, back, top and interior dividers to not only keep the weight down but also to give the cabinet a hand crafted look.

Tool Chest - 11 Drawer

This is a simple tool chest to construct. The drawer bottoms are extended to slide in groves cut into the sides. The front door folds up and locks.

Tool Chest - 11 Drawer with hinged top

Here's a variation on the 11 drawer tool chest shown above.  The front door has been removed and the top extended for a shallow upper storage chest.

Tool Chest - Heirloom

This is a classic tool chest that appeared in the March/April 2004 Fine Woodworking magazine.
