All drawings are to scale, have appropriate joinery and are drawn using components so that the SketchUp Model can be exploded apart for detail sizing and analysis.  The rendered pictures were done using Kerkythea rendering software.  All drawings are available for download.

Adirondack Child Chairs

Here are 3 variations on an Adirondack type chair for a child.  I designed the 4 legged chair first then changed the design for the Adirondack stile and rocking chair.  I have build several of these chairs.

Child's Desk - Early American

This little Early American Child’s Desk is quite interesting.  The drawer that appears in the front is actually false.  The left side has a large drawer for paper, and the smaller drawer on the right side was intended to hold a bottle of ink.

Child's Snow Sled

At 30" long, this petite coaster is designed as a child's first sled. Its handle is securely anchored to the body for towing and the railing helps keep the occupant safely aboard.  The design came from a 1990 Popular Mechanics article.

Doll Armoire

I built this Doll Armoire based on a request from my 9 year old Granddaughter.  She provided the input for the basic design which was to be used for her American Girl doll.  The color of choice was white with purple accents.  The overall dimensions are 26"W x 10"D x 33" H.

I built two of these School Chairs for my Granddaughter's American Girl Doll during December of 2013.  She loves to play school so these were a perfect Christmas gift. The chairs were painted white with purple accents to match the Doll Armoire that I made as well.

This toy tractor and cart is based on the design from the 1983 Woodworker's Journal. I built one for my son in the mid 1980's and it's still being used by my grandchildren today

This is another easy tractor and hay wagon to make.  The tractor has a 3.5" rear wheel that can be made or purchased on-line.

Truck - 1920s TT Truck

Wooden toy 1920's TT Stake Body truck.  Uses 2" wood wheels.

Truck Crane

Here's a working truck with a mounted crane.  The boom and the hoist will both lift via a crank and the the crane will rotate.  The model has many parts but overall it is not a difficult toy to make.

WWII Sherman Tank

Here's a replica of a WWII Sherman tank.  There are not many pieces to this toy tank making it an easy project.  It uses 2 size wheels, 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" and the turret turns.
